Credit Card Processing Errors Being Corrected by IPC and BAMS
Director of Retail Technology/Marina O’Rourke
VPS Director of Operations/James Esposito
A small percentage of credit card transactions that were processed on Fri., Dec. 16 and Mon., Dec. 19 were incorrectly settled. As a result, affected consumers observed a second charge on their credit cards. This is an error, and IPC is working with Bank of America Merchant Services (BAMS) to reverse these duplicate transactions. Affected customers should have seen related refunds on their credit card accounts by close of business Thu., Dec. 22. If a customer questions you or your staff about this issue, inform them that this was a processing error and should be resolved soon.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions, contact IPC Services at (888) 445-9239 or cardinfo@ipcoop.com.
